SUPER FUN.
Okay, you guys know those little electronic 20Q games? ("It's puss?") I guess they're developing a Harry Potter one and they are encouraging fans to go play it online so that they can work out all the kinks and stuff. I got it to guess Mafalda Hopkirk, so it's pretty awesome hardcore cool.

GO PLAY!

Meh.
I am in such a post-Potter funk. The past three nights have been filled with related dreams (imagine me rolling around with a very sweaty neck -- Dan Radcliffe style). I really don't feel like going to class today because the I'm not ready to enter back into the real world. So sad.

Since I can't seem to get HP off the brain, here are some fun videos to share.

Some kids reenact SNL's "Dear Sister" sketch as characters:

The guys behind "We Drink Tea" -- the "Lazy Sunday" spoof -- interview fans in Cambridge.

"Neville's the man!"
I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (and therefore the entire brilliant series) this evening at around 6:00 pm. I loved it so so much! Although there were some losses that stung severely, I am really satisfied with the end of Harry's story.

*sigh*

I need some new HP icons.
Omigod. I just read the chapter titles for Deathly Hallows and I can't breathe. They weren't exactly spoilery or anything, they're just really good and dramatic sounding. Oh shit.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through Half-Blood Prince. I will definitely be ready for Friday night. I even wasted several hours on it today when I should have been writing my paper.

Oh yeah, the paper... Hmm...

Catherine made the most delicious pineapple upside-down cake tonight. My mouth died from the pleasure.

BB was excellent tonight. Jen needs to go ASAP.

Grrrr. Dumb summer school.

I have been having the hardest time thinking of subjects lately.
According to my records I have seen 70 new-to-me movies so far this year. At the beginning of 2007 I set a goal of 100 for the year, but it seems like I will definitely see even more than that. Good work, me. Tonight we watched Gregory's Girl, which was cute but silly. Lots of LOLs, so that was good. We also watched the first two episodes of season 1 of The OC (which I am now seeing for the first time, even though I watched seasons 2 & 3) and BB8. So much for reading.

Speaking of "reading," I am about a third of the way through the HBP audiobook. The Stephen Fry version is SO MUCH BETTER. I don't think I should have too much trouble finishing by Friday night, especially since I should have all day Friday to listen. I'm also following along with an error-ridden word-scanned pdf file I downloaded... This is what happens when you leave your books at your parents' house, kids.

Tonight we were attacked by a MASSIVE SPIDER in our very own living room! AND I MEAN MASSIVE. SERIOUSLY. PLEASE BELIEVE EVERY WORD I SAY. Okay, a lot of people call spiders massive spiders when their bodies are just the tiniest bit meaty. This one, however, had a body that was at least the size of a nickel with long thick legs spreading all over the place. When I make a complete circle with my index finger and thumb, that's only like half the size of it's legspan. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. It moved at the speed of light and was brown and textured and really freaky looking. I have never seen anything like it in captivity before. It was absolutely terrifying and if Ali hadn't been there, I don't know WHAT we would have done. But, alas, he saved us and we will be eternally grateful.

Where did such a monster come from, you ask? Well I'm not going to point any fingers, but at the time Mary's boyfriend was in the backyard using a chainsaw to cut up some crazy looking "firewood" that seemed very cozy for some woodsy creepy-crawlies to be living in. That's all I'm gonna say.

...

Whatever. It's now time for me to get in bed and try not to have arachnid-filled nightmares.

Happy Birthday, Terry O'Quinn!
Hooooray! I downloaded the HBP audiobook narrated by Stephen Fry. I haven't listened to it yet but I already know it's gotta be better than the Jim Dale one because a) it's divided up between discs rather than the single continuous file of the version that I have and b) I'm pretty sure Stephen Fry's Hermione wont = Stewie Griffin.

Yesterday I went to see a movie with Catherine and Brittny called La Vie En Rose. It was really good, even though I was mighty confused at times. Then we came home and watched Reefer Madness with Val. It was so so so so soooo hilarious! I'm currently downloading the 2005 musical version that Ana Gasteyer and others are in. It's supposed to be really good and I think it has all the same characters and stuff. LOL Kristin Bell is Mary Lane. This is gonna be good.

I decided to see how big my room next year will be compared to the one I'm in now. I looked at the measurements from the website, converted them into feet, and then measured my room. It's almost EXACTLY the same, just a couple inches off. And that is awesome because I never thought I'd have such a big room to myself ever again in my whole life. I'm so excited.

Now it's time to take a shower and listen to my new audiobook. Weeee!

EDIT: I downloaded the Hairspray soundtrack because I wanted to see if dumbass Amanda Bynes did her own singing and the answer is, unfortunately, YES. Gross. I was listening to "Without Love," which features her character and three others. She was the last of all of them to start singing and before I got to her I was like "Hey, all these people are pretty good... Maybe I won't hate it after all..." But then she started singing and she sounded so dumb. GOD I HATE HER.

Saturdayyy...
I am listening to the Half-Blood Prince audiobook narrated by Jim Dale. His Hermione voice sounds like Stewie Griffin. Very odd indeed. I need to get the Stephen Fry version. Today is Matthew Fox's 41st birthday. Since Foxy =/= Jack, I hope he is having a delightful birthday. Have any of you examined Josh Holloway's back? I have. It's nice. Oh dear... Luna sounds like a phone sex operator. I've been browsing various websites for Americans living in the UK. It makes me feel less stressed out. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who will be going through the awkward transition. I am learning lots of fun things. For example...

Scottish people are responsible for:
- The invention of the television.
- The invention of the bicycle.
- The invention of the telephone.
- The invention of the adhesive postage stamp.
- The invention of the car tire (tyre).
- The discovery of Penicillin.
- The idea of using fingerprints to identify people.
- Golf. (Duh.)
- Suspenders.

GRAWP LIKE MOVIE.
Yeah OotP was fan-freaking-tastic. I loved it. It had its disappointments (such as the "Snapes Worst Memory" scene -- wtf!?!?!?!) but it was really really really amazing. I might write more tomorrow, but I need to think about getting into bed right now so I can get up early and study.

P.S. Rupert Grint is getting sexier by the minute. Yeah, I said it.

Are those freckles you're sportin' or is that poop on your face?
I'm inclined not to believe it's freckles because of the smell.

:)

I am so excited to see OotP tonight! Of course I would have been MORE excited had I been able to see it at midnight last night, but Santa Barbara has failed me on that one. At least I'll be able to get my book at midnight next week. OMG I love Weasleys (minus Percy) soooo much. WEEEEEEEEE!

WOW I AM REALLY EXCITED.

I wish I didn't have a midterm tomorrow.

OH WELL. We are going out to dinner first and it's going to be so fun.

YAYYYYY!

EDIT: Oh sweet, I just rediscovered my neato Gryffindor hoodie! Now I have something to wear. Wonderful! Weasley is my king. Goodbye.

Help me.
In order to stay keep myself sane and so I don't start talking to invisible people in rocking chairs, I am going to do a short little status-updatey thing as I compose my African Cinema take-home midterm tonight. I'll submit it as soon as all my work is complete. This should be interesting/a little crazy.

Cut because it's a little long and a little LOST spoilery. )

I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T REALIZE THIS.
=

Daaaaang. So he's just always a crazy who talks to people that no one else can see?

P.S. The tool who knocked Shannyn Sossamon's character up is played by the other dude from Mi Amigo. Lol lol lol! And I figured out where I recognized Julia Mallory from -- she hella married Josh Duhamel on All My Children and then died right afterward! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh life is so funny.

EDIT: I just looked it up and I guess she didn't actually die. She was just in the hospital for a heart transplant and they got married while she was in there because he THOUGHT she was going to die. And he felt sorry for her. But he really loved Greenlee, who was his true love until he died and she fell in love with Ryan "Shirtless" Lavery. I guess she just left the show because "Laura realized that she needed help and agreed to seek out professional counseling outside of Pine Valley." Death is more exciting. Oh well.
