YOU DON'T KNOW ME! I'M A BLOODY ROCK GOD!
Tee hee hee... There are five miniature Losties staring at me from my dresser. :)

[Actually, one is looking at his fingers and another at a mysterious Hatch... But the other three are looking at me with realistic and detailed eyes!]

Merry Christmas everybody! (Even though it's almost over...)

I'm gonna settle into bed and watch me some Talladega Nights special features.

Life is gonna be wow-wow-wee for my shadow and meeee!
I just ordered something from a website and the first line of the address on the confirmation page kept showing my name + an old P.O. box that I had... And then it would go down a line and show my actual address. When I went back to edit it, the old P.O. box was not next to my name... And I was confused... But I tried changing my name and going forward and it didn't show up anymore, so I kept it that way. Now I'm expecting a package for "Laura 'Awesomeface' Lucas."

I just learned lots about Robbie Williams by reading his Wikipedia page. He's my lover. Apparently he is living in L.A. now. Also, his "Me and My Shadow" friend, Jonathan Wilkes, is apparently a British TV personality and does a bit of acting/singing of his own. I sort of love him too.

"Lovelight" is a good music video. I like it more than I like "Rudebox."

I had my first attempt at making fish biscuits yesterday. Strawberry shortcake fish biscuits, to be exact. They taste like both strawberries AND fish biscuits. The flavor of Skate. And yes, they were delicious. Next time I will add a little more strawberry extract, but the color seems to be good. And I am ordering a custom made "DHARMA" stamp for the lettering because that's the kind of thing I like to waste my money on.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I am going to Danville! I wish Catherine were going to be in town, because I'd drop by and see her. But I'm glad she is having fun elsewhere. I'm looking forward to seeing my family. Hurrah!

Mandy's present was the first Christmas present I bought this year, and it hasn't come yet. Which means it won't be here for Christmas. Which means I am an awful sister. But my dad's gift came today, and I already had my mom's. I wrapped them and they are pretty. Tomorrow Mandy and I are going to wrap our joint gift for Frankie, the most spoiled beagle on the planet. I love her.

Uhhhh I just found this:

NSFW!!! )

Hello, Robbie's rudebox. :o

Oh my. I just found another one where you can see his linus and one charlie brown! Oh my my my. Wikipedia wasn't lying when they said he considers himself to be a nudist. American pop stars are so boring!!! (Please note that Britney only showed you her goodies after she was all washed up and sad.)

Today was a weird day. I need to sleep.

EDIT: Somebody certainly loves his bum! NSFW again. )

The Holiday
Everyone must go see The Holiday. I am not an automatic lover of chick flicks; I generally prefer comedies or really cool unique movies of any genre (like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which is freaking awesome). But the exceptional chick flicks always win me over, and this was one of the best I've seen. It's right up there with Love Actually in my book, and I'll be adding it to my list of movies I must watch at least once every year at Christmastime.

I saw it with Catherine and Mitzi last night. Catherine and I wore our pajamas and brought blankets, because we thought it'd be appropriate. Jude Law is so dang attractive. I hate loving him knowing that he's such a dickhead in real life, but good GOD. His character in The Holiday is NOT a dickhead, so it's very easy to fall in love with his hot self. Kate Winslet is a goddess, as always. And Jack Black is now even MORE strangely attractive to me. I love hiiiimmmm. The old guy that got lost backstage on Studio 60 is in it, and he is precious!!! And there are two adorable little girls that I want for my own. And I have to say that I no longer hate Cameron Diaz. She was very likeable and not stupid. She didn't irritate me one bit! It was really refreshing.

And John Krasinksi is in it. Somehow, neither Mitzi nor I knew this and we had a collective heart attack of love. (Catherine may have been a part of this, but she was sitting too far away for me to tell.)

Aaaaaaand there is a teeny tiny clip from another of my favorite TV shows. Eeeeeee!

Aaaaaaaaaaaand it has the best cameos ever. HAHAHAHA.

So, in summary, you should all go see it. I'd recommend it as a perfect date movie, but I cried like a little girl and I personally wouldn't want a date to see me in that state. Although... I would have cried much less if I were not all alone in the world and if the ending didn't make me so depressed for reasons not directly related to the movie. So go ahead, bring your lover. And maybe some tissue. Most of the time, I was crying just because it was so damn cute and I didn't know what else to do.

Oh tears. Huggy hugs.

PURGATORY!
So, uh, SNL last night was like... incredible. Foxy was even more amazing than I thought he would be! And so much Andy too! I already re-watched it once. And then I found all of the Foxy clips on Matthew-Fox.net and downloaded them. And got myself a cool new wallpaper. I never thought my two favorite worlds would merge into one like this. Yesss. Josh Holloway next, please. And then Evangeline Lilly.

I am done with teching. Thank Gob. (That's my new thing I'm gonna say. I just started it.)

I have to do my History of Costumes project and a big ol' paper for Gallucci's class by Thursday. And I just remembered that I'm going to Death Cab on Wednesday. Oh shoot. I told myself that I'd have to start working really hard as of tonight, but I just spent like an hour deleting stupid files that were hella clogging up my desktop. I hate having too many icons on my desktop. I like to see my Macintosh HD, my external hard drive, and my iDisk. THAT IS ALL. I want to be able to enjoy the pretty picture on the background.

Tomorrow I will go to my two classes, come home and regroup, and then head back to school for hardcore researching/meeting with Michael Morgan. I have to sort out my library crap too; they seem to think I didn't return a book on time, but I am positive that they are mistaken. Leah says that sometimes if you return a bunch of books at once, they might accidentally skip over one or something. So before I can check out any more books, I have to prove to them that it has been returned and is sitting on a shelf. I hope it works out, because I don't know what I will do if I can't check out books this week. Shit.

I'm confused about this optional Latin quiz thing... I think it's because she said we get to drop our worst quiz grade, and so if we've done really well so far there's no reason to take the last quiz. I'm pretty sure I've done okay on quizzes so far, but I should take this one just in case. Haven't started studying yet, so that's awesome. Great.

I really need to develop better study habits.

Yay for Leah sleeping over last night. We talked for so long! I feel like we were up until like 4 or something. I think we were. I love love love sleepy bedtime talking. I love that awkward moment when the lights have been out for a while and you both get so tired that the conversation just stops and for a second you wonder if you should say something else but then you decide sleeping is a better option and then you're out. Hahaha! Leah is one of my most favorite favorites in the whole world and I am every day so thankful that we're hanging out so much right now. Hooray!

Starr and Brittny found us a cool new huge trash can, and we've been painting it so that it looks pretty. It is fantastic. It has everything from a duck, to the Numbers, to a volcano, to a pink star, to some of our quotes, and even a nice blue Tobias handprint (plus several blue smudges). Val painted the most beautiful LOST Island ever, complete with a black smoke column. We're still not done with it, but it is already beautiful. I love these people.

Our Christmas decorations are brilliant, by the way. I'm not sure if I've mentioned them yet. Mitzi brought us a tree, which is decorated with lights, a paper chain, ornaments, and candy canes. Catherine brought lots of adorable things like tablecloths and a huge stocking her grandma sewed for us. There's a wonderful garland wrapped around the banister and all kinds of other goodies. We still need to get mistletoe and I'm gonna make more snowflakes so we can hang them from the ceiling, just as we've done for the past two years. Weee! And thank you so much, Brittny, for cleaning everything up today. You are amazing and wonderful and I love you. I love you all.

It's time to really get to work now. Enough stalling. Bah.
