Yesterday and today were brilliant. Especially in comparison to Sulky Monday. The weather has been stunning for the past three days and the citizens of Glasgow are making the absolute most of it!! Yesterday I met Caitlin and Stuart for a drink and snacks at around 3. Caitlin had to leave to go to work, but Stuart and I decided to keep at it and we did a little bit of an afternoon pub crawl. Several pubs and many drinks later, it was midnight and I was finally heading home. How did that happen? It was a really good day though. Here's Stuart and me boozing at the QM:

I woke up majorly hungover this morning but that faded quickly and eventually Caitlin and I went out to get some fresh air and sunlight. We walked through Kelvingrove Park to get to the Goat for Kopparbergs... The park was hilarious. I was cracking up the whole time. I swear the entire city of Glasgow had gathered at the park and everyone was tanning and playing and laughing and having the best times of their lives. There were countless lanky white majorly sunburned boys with their shirts off climbing trees... Girls in bikinis soaking in the sun for all it's worth... People playing all kinds of ball games (football, rugby, american football, even badminton!), throwing frisbees, smoking hookah, picnicking, making out, eating ice cream... Strangers exchanging niceties in the street instead of threatening each other with broken Buckfast bottles... It was truly magical. Scottish people are so precious. The second the sun comes out everybody goes absolutely insane and drops EVERYTHING to enjoy the nice weather. I found myself in the same mindset and I've been in the best mood.
We sat at the Goat for a while and Milena joined us for a bit, then we walked back through the park and sat next to a little pond for a bit. Here are a couple lovely pictures:
( Cut because I'm nice! )Gorgeous, right? The little flower petals were drifting off the trees and floating across the top of the water... I thought I had died and gone to heaven, I could barely take it all in.
After that we came back here and cooked a chicken. Christine came to pick up her car and she ate dinner with us. I love Christine. She's leaving for China on May 17th and I'm sad I have to say goodbye to her so soon. Not that June 4th is all that much further away. :(
Anyhoo now I'm just lounging around listening to the spectacular third season LOST soundtrack. I think I'm going to tackle the duty of writing a long entry about my weekend. It shouldn't be too bad, and I need to do it now before I start forgetting stuff. Hopefully I'll force myself to do that tonight. I think I'm going to watch
Cloverfield first though. Maybe.
Hope everybody is having a lovely day. <3
