Better than finding Jaffa Cakes in your coat pocket.
They are releasing Spaced on region 1 DVD in July!!!

Apparently it's going to have a new commentary done by Edgar, Simon, Jessica and the randomest of randoms -- people who had nothing to do with the making Spaced. I really don't understand why. But it's Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Matt Stone, Bill Hader(!), Patton Oswalt, and Diablo Cody. Random!

In this article I'm reading there are a couple good quotes about Spaced from people I love. This makes me excited in silly ways. Check it.

"Spaced is utter brilliance. Constantly and amazingly laugh-out-loud funny and heart wrenchingly emotional, this series is for, well, anyone who has ever lived." -- JJ Abrams

"Innovative. Witty. Hilarious. Spaced is the show we American comedians watch and say 'How the hell did they get away with this?!' Spaced is the sole reason I bought an all region DVD player. Now you have no excuse! Buy this and you can officially be cool." -- Bill Hader

So basically Bill and I are soulmates and now I'm going to go watch my region 2 Spaced DVDs because that sounds like the perfect way to work through this hangover. Woooooo!

Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain.
Yesterday and today were brilliant. Especially in comparison to Sulky Monday. The weather has been stunning for the past three days and the citizens of Glasgow are making the absolute most of it!! Yesterday I met Caitlin and Stuart for a drink and snacks at around 3. Caitlin had to leave to go to work, but Stuart and I decided to keep at it and we did a little bit of an afternoon pub crawl. Several pubs and many drinks later, it was midnight and I was finally heading home. How did that happen? It was a really good day though. Here's Stuart and me boozing at the QM:

I woke up majorly hungover this morning but that faded quickly and eventually Caitlin and I went out to get some fresh air and sunlight. We walked through Kelvingrove Park to get to the Goat for Kopparbergs... The park was hilarious. I was cracking up the whole time. I swear the entire city of Glasgow had gathered at the park and everyone was tanning and playing and laughing and having the best times of their lives. There were countless lanky white majorly sunburned boys with their shirts off climbing trees... Girls in bikinis soaking in the sun for all it's worth... People playing all kinds of ball games (football, rugby, american football, even badminton!), throwing frisbees, smoking hookah, picnicking, making out, eating ice cream... Strangers exchanging niceties in the street instead of threatening each other with broken Buckfast bottles... It was truly magical. Scottish people are so precious. The second the sun comes out everybody goes absolutely insane and drops EVERYTHING to enjoy the nice weather. I found myself in the same mindset and I've been in the best mood.

We sat at the Goat for a while and Milena joined us for a bit, then we walked back through the park and sat next to a little pond for a bit. Here are a couple lovely pictures:

Cut because I'm nice! )

Gorgeous, right? The little flower petals were drifting off the trees and floating across the top of the water... I thought I had died and gone to heaven, I could barely take it all in.

After that we came back here and cooked a chicken. Christine came to pick up her car and she ate dinner with us. I love Christine. She's leaving for China on May 17th and I'm sad I have to say goodbye to her so soon. Not that June 4th is all that much further away. :(

Anyhoo now I'm just lounging around listening to the spectacular third season LOST soundtrack. I think I'm going to tackle the duty of writing a long entry about my weekend. It shouldn't be too bad, and I need to do it now before I start forgetting stuff. Hopefully I'll force myself to do that tonight. I think I'm going to watch Cloverfield first though. Maybe.

Hope everybody is having a lovely day. <3
